Details for our next referees courses have been announced, with courses to be held in Bangalow and Lismore in March 2010.

The details for each course are:

Bangalow – Bangalow Public School

Two Sessions

• Sunday 7 March 2010: 9.30am – 3.30/4pm
• Tuesday 9 March 2010: (Exam) 6.30pm – approx. 8.30pm

Lismore – South Lismore Bowling Club

Four Sessions

• Monday 15 March 2010: 6.30pm – 9pm
• Thursday 18 March 2010: 6.30pm – 9pm
• Monday 22 March 2010: 6.30pm – 9pm
• Tuesday 23 March 2010: 6.30pm – approx. 8.30pm
  

Those who wish to attend either course must attend ALL sessions (i.e. must attend ALL 4 nights of the Lismore course) and must be at least 13 years of age or turning 13 by April 2010.

The cost of the course is $50 per person.

Football Far North Coast Representative players should note that Howard Stubbs, FFNC Coaching Co-ordinator, has confirmed that all FFNC representative players that register for the course will be given an exemption from their representative training on the 15th and 22nd of March, so that they may participate in the two Monday nights of the Lismore course.

Please find below this weeks appointments. It is essential that you get your match sheets back to FFNC promptly after your game, no later than 2 days after the fixture. If you are having difficulties with your scheduled appointment, please contact the referee’s mobile phone.

Our first General Meeting for 2010 will be held on Tuesday the 16th of March at the South Lismore Bowling Club, commencing at 7.00pm.

As well as this, prior to the commencement of this meeting, we will be holding a Special General Meeting to vote on proposed amendments to our constitution, details of which have been communicated to all our members.

All current members who live in or South of Byron Bay are expected to attend.

At the conclusion of these meetings, we will be having a coaching session and a possible short discussion related to appointments.

Those who are still yet to re-register to referee this season are also invited to come along and register.

All members are asked to please email our secretary, Luke Mackney, by Sunday the 14th of March to confirm their attendance.

Due to ground closures, management have decided to cancel tonights training. Please find some time to keep your exercise level up, or alternatively find your law book and have a read! Anzac Cup starts this weekend.

A REMINDER TO ALL MEMBERS

Under no circumstances is any member permitted to officiate on any trial matches UNTIL approval for the match has been granted by Football Far North Coast AND officials have been appointed BY US.

Please be aware that if you officiate on a match without approval by Football Far North Coast and ourselves, you are not covered under our insurance.

There will be consequences for any member who does not adhere to this policy from this point forward.

Please note, mainly for insurance purposes, you ARE NOT permitted to officiate in any game unless appointed through the correct procedures. ALL club trial games need to be approved by FFNC, and the clubs request officals and we appoint from there.

We have recently received news from Northern NSW Football that we have the option to order a new alternate colour referees shirt, to give us an extra colour option in addition to our current black and yellow shirts.

For this to happen however, we need to order a minimum number of shirts, SO we are giving YOU, the members, the opportunity to tell us whether you would be interested in buying a new alternate colour shirt and if so, what colour you would prefer.

The suggestions for colours that have been put forward for the additional alternate colour shirt are; Sky Blue or Bright Pink.

So members, please use the poll below to cast you vote on what colour you would purchase (if any) and as long as we have enough interest to make an order, the most popular colour at the end of our poll will be added to our current selection of black and yellow shirts.
