A reminder that the Presentation Dinner will be held THIS Saturday at the South Lismore Bowling Club commencing with pre-dinner drinks at approximately 6:30pm.

The Annual General Meeting on Tuesday night and its election of office bearers has resulted in a management committee which has a mix of youth and experience. We would at this stage like to acknowledge the achievement of Tanya De Boer as being the first female referee elected to the management committee. A just achievement for Tanya and perfect representation for our 29 young female referees.

LISMORE’S Luke Mackney is a bit of an individual. At 23, he will be the youngest referee to take charge of a major winter sport grand final this Saturday when Richmond Rovers take on Italo Stars in the Premier Division of Far North Coast soccer.

CONSOLING a sobbing 13-year-old girl is not supposed to be part of Dick Nolan’s job as the Football Far North Coast Refereees’ Association president.

If you were at Crozier Oval on Saturday sometime, used the referees room and are missing a pair of shoes, Darren Oke currently has custody of them.

Congratulations to Darren Oke, our life member Lee MacMaster and ex-member Brad Jack on their recent achievements in refereeing.
